The Prevention of Family Violence
The committee is actively involved in community education and early intervention. We do presentations and workshops for schools, professionals, and other community organizations on issues including:
- Domestic Violence;
- Anger Management;
- Elder Abuse; and,
- Other Family Violence Areas.
Emergency transportation to the Women's Shelter is provided by trained volunteer drivers. One half day a month, a Community Awareness Coordinator provides counseling and support to individuals involved in or previously involved in abusive relationships.
