The Heartland Youth Center (HYC) is a non-profit organization comprised of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and the Boys & Girls Club. The HYC endeavors to develop and nurture the life skills of youth through community based programming with the support of families and volunteers. |
Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Friend bases programs that provide positive role-modeling, support, and companionship to the children in our community. Adult volunteers matched with children on a one-to-one basis. Rainbows - Support group for children who have suffered a significant loss in their lives either by death, divorce, or any other challenging transition In-school Mentoring, Teen Mentoring - Matches adult volunteers on a one-to-one basis with school aged students; high school ages teen volunteers matched with elementary or middle school students. Tim Horton's Camp - HYC has a partnership with the Tim Horton's Foundation, providing children of our community with the chance to participate in fantastic camp experiences. |

Memberships |

Available for children ages 6-18, with the agreement that parents contribute 10 hours of volunteer time throughout the year. Some programs also have a program fee. |
