The Stettler & District Food Bank is a registered charity that is run and organized solely by Volunteers from the community in order to provide food to families in need. Receiving donations is a vital part of the food banks successful operations.

Tuesday & Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
and
Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:00pm

FOOD BANK Announcement

 

The Food Bank volunteers are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and healthy environment in the preparation of hampers.

Please be respectful of the health and safety of those accessing the foodbank and the volunteers that work there. Continue to practice social distancing, hand sanitizing, and respect those that choose to wear a mask.

 

 

Donations

Food Donations can be dropped off in the bin at the United Church lobby Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday morning between 9am-12pm or arrangements can be made by calling 403-740-6733.

We accept donations of:

  • Non-perishable food items

  • Toiletries

  • Grocery Store Gift Cards

***We CANNOT accept:  Home canning, eggs and wild or uninspected meats.***

If you have a large cash/food donation please call 403-740-6733 for a drop off time.

Monetary donations can be made online at www.canadahelps.org  or dropped off at FCSS (4720 50 St, 8:30am - 4:30pm) or left at the United Church Office, 4820 51 St, clearly marked "Food Bank". We are also able to accept etransfers to: stettlerfoodbankdonation@gmail.com (in the "message to recipient" area please leave your name and mailing address to receive a tax receipt)

Tax receipts are issued for any donations of $10.00 or more

  • Remember that this is a volunteer operation and everyone is doing their very best.

  • The church lends the space but is not in charge of the food bank.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.        How many times can I access the food bank?

Households with children can access the food bank twice per calendar month, while singles or couples can visit once per calendar month.
          

2.        What do I need to bring in order to apply for the food bank?

Each applicant must bring in photo identification for every member of the household and identification for any children such as AB health care, birth certificate, etc.
